My room suffers from two issues, room echo, and an old backdrop that has overstayed its welcome. #Arrowzoom was kind enough to send me some of their panels to try out. Let's see if these panels can solve both of my issues.

    Did you try using the window's "listen to device" through one of the Rodecaster channel so you can adjust the volume level on the rodecaster instead of using a virtual one? Granted i'm using the rodecaster on a single pc setup (2 usb connected into rodecaster duo) and it works fine tbh. My setup is the main audio out is through my Topping Dac/Amp, and all rodecaster's audio (except for mic) goes through "Listen to this device" playback in windows volume setting

    im using the Fifine k688 a dynamic mic with a gain knob built in at the back of the mic, can I sound professional streamer if I use the wavelink? not sure if cheap mics can still sound good compared to expensive mics like the elgato dynamic mics and other dynamic mics the the shure. I plan to buy the elgato stream deck plus to make my audio better using the wave link. I wonder If I can still use the feature of the wavelink if im using a different brand of mic

      Yes wavelink can be used with just about any brand of mic. As for a cheap mic sounding pro I'll say this, you won't make a $90 mic sound like an sm7b but you can make a $90 mic sounds great using wavelink/vsts

    Way too advanced. Should have just been “here’s how to get your audio to work before we start routing PS5 audio into the mix” Some zooms would be really nice, too. Most of us are configuring this on our phones since our computer audio needs troubleshooting, so I can hardly see what you’re trying to show me.

    Every RodeCaster I've had (2 RodeCasters Pro, and so far 2 RodeCaster Pro 2's (about to send this one off for the same repair)) have had the exact same issue where my pads just start firing on their own whenever I touch my desk. Good power, firmwares updated, separate circuit, different PCs, etc. When I get it and reconfigure it for my settings (thanks SD Card!) it works great for a couple of months until it starts having the same problem again. This last one worked for me since March of 2023. I've since purchased the Wave XLR and Stream Deck+. The only annoyance I have is when my computer wakes from sleep the headset or Wave Link software may or may not be talking to one another, and sometimes I have to kill both the Stream Deck and Wave Link software and restart them. Other than that, it's been great.

    • @StreamGearTalk
      @StreamGearTalk 25 днів тому

      That PC sleep/wavelink/stream deck issue is driving me insane. How is it not addressed? Sorry to hear about your rodecarster, that's wild. I've heard lots of quality control issues out in the wild and it's really unfortunate. Now they've acquired Mackie I'm concerned that they won't update the RC and instead out out a new product altogether to do what we all wish the RC could do

    • @ishepard2
      @ishepard2 25 днів тому

      @@StreamGearTalk To me, the wavelink/stream deck thing is the biggest problem. I don't know how to fix it. I may end up reaching out to support. I would also love to have a 2nd PC input. on the Wave XLR or something. I used that a lot on my RCP2. There IS a kind of janky work around with using the input from an Elgato game capture card, and while I do have a couple extras lying around, I don't really want to do that if I don't have to. That said, I am making do with the 2nd PC input on my Arctis Nova Pro Wireless interface. It's not great but it works.

    Elgato is a streaming gear oriented company, and that’s why they understand what we need, and that’s why I ditched my goxlr for the stream deck plus, the plus has submixes and VST support which is invaluable. By the way you don’t need a wave xlr with the plus, any interface will do, I’m using a Yamaha AG06 with it, the wave xlr is limiting because it only has headphones output, no monitor output.

      Hope this answers your question. I typically record my audio and then boost in post. So I can't recall for this video exactly but at most I boost the level of my mic audio track by +6db at most. I dont go straight to 6db, I play around until my meter is landing around the -12db area. Because I find the quality of the facecam mk 2 good enough for streams, I no longer use (ditched) my canon m50 for streaming. I do of course use my m50 for UA-cam videos. Good quality video (good enough for streaming), easy set up (don't have to dial in focus and hook in cables every time use unlike m50), just makes for an easier to use camera. Does that make sense?
